Navigate trough a World

The large area in the lower right side of the main window shows the three-dimensional virtual worlds you visit. You can move through it using the cursor keys. If you press them and no reaction is ascertainable, the 3D area doesn't has the focus. In this case single click into this area and try again.

Using the keys for "up" and "down" you can move forward and backward. With "left" and "right" you are able to rotate. If the cursor keys for "left" or "right" are combined with the "ALT" key, the user doesn't rotates but moves sidewards. Together with the "Shift" key all movements become faster. If you press "Ctrl" instead of "Shift", all movements become faster too but with a higher strength. The "Page up" or "Page down" keys allow it to move the head and to look up and down.

Objects / buildings / mountains etc. can be climbed if the step the virtual person had to do is not too big. So for an example stairs are designed to be climbeable without problems (that means the single steps of a stair do not exceed the maximum stepheight which is climbeable). To do that, simply move against these objects. As known from the real world the avatar changes its altitude depending on the object or ground below of it.

Interaction is possible with some of the objects inside a world. You can try to do things by left-clickig objects. If functions have been defined for it, these clicks may cause different actions (e.g. a website opens, an object moves or rotates,...).

Gravitation

Where ever you are in a Virtual World gravitation takes effect. That means, similar to the real world, if you do a step forward after you have been on the edge of an (higher) object, you will fall down. The only difference to the real world is, you will not be hurd or killed.

There are only two conditions, where gravitation does not take effect:

1. If you are in building mode gravitation is disabled and you can fly
2. If there are no objects below of you, gravitation is disabled too (because you would fall into infinity)
